Spring 2013 Edition of Airstream Life Magazine

I was so thrilled to hear that the portrait I took of Robert at Alumapalooza 2012 made the current cover of Airstream Life Magazine.  This image was one of my favorites from the event. Robert and his pups were such great sports to pose for me!

This will be my 3rd cover image for Airstream Life Magazine.  Looking back, I noticed that all three covers have a dog in the photo.  There must be something about traveling with pets that is so appealing.  I know that I can't even imaging traveling without Max.  The article in this issue is all about traveling with your pet...something Max and I know a little something about.

Thank you, Airstream Life!

Taking Max, "Trailie" and "Rusty" Out For A Spin On The Province Lands Trail

I bought Max a trailer for my cruiser long ago in anticipation of using it on this trip.  I had one nice day in PTown so I thought it would be the perfect time to take it out for a spin.  I wasn't sure how Max would like it but he did great!  He just sat in the trailer and let the breeze hit is face through the screen window.

I rode on the bike path in Provincetown near the beaches.  I took the trail starting at Herring Cove and rode to the visitors center and then to Race point.

Having just one gear on the cruiser proved to be a bit tricky at times going up the hills.  I would stand up as much as I could and pedal but some of the time I would have to jump off and walk the bike up the hill.  I didn't care, it was a beautiful day!

We had a great time on the bike ride.  Once we arrived at Race Point, Max and I took a stroll on the beach and we relaxed for a while before heading back.  Cape Cod has some of the most beautiful bicycle trails.  If you take a trip to the area, be sure to bring your bike and head out on the Province Lands Trail.

I think Max is happy with his new trailer.  Much more comfortable than the bike basket he was in last year - Shown Below.

Max And His New Trailer!

I thought it would be fun this year on the road to be able to take Max with me while I wander around.  Last  year, my only option was to keep him in the car while I rode my bike, but sometimes it was way too hot to do so.  Now he is able to get on the dirt road with me in this handy bicycle trailer from Doggy Ride!

When I put it together, I didn't want him to be afraid of it right away so I put his small bed in it and put treats inside so he would have to hop in to eat the treats.  I did this all day (not moving the trailer), until I was able to zip it up and move it around slowly with him inside.

I thought he got the hang of it pretty quickly so we went for a spin around the neighborhood.  He didn't bark once but growled at a cat he saw.  I look forward to touring around in this with Max while we wander around the country soon!   Of course I still use a cheap tent that's over 10 years old to camp in but Max gets a brand new luxury coach!  Lucky Max.
