A Drive Along The Oregon Coast

One of my favorite drives in this country is along the Oregon coast. For some reason, it puts you in a good mood and for a moment, everything seems right in the world. Ok, that might be a bit dramatic but it truly is a sight to see. I've done this drive a few times and each time I do, I find something new.

I took a few days and stopped for the night in some nice camping spots along the way. A drive on the coast isn't complete without a stop at the tillamook cheese factory to taste samples and get a huge scoop of ice cream.

Max loves the beach and he gets a bit crazy when we play in the sand. Sometimes, he even lets me bury him! We had such a good time on the coast. If you're looking for a scenic drive on the ocean, Oregon has it!

The Sights of Maine

I love Maine.  The past day, I drove around and took photographs of what I came across.  I have yet to have a lobster roll, but it's on my list of things to do while I am here.

This afternoon, I decided to take a dip in the water and was able to get in the ocean half way until Max decided to run off.  I am soaking up the time I have on this island and am doing a lot of nothing, which is a nice change of pace.

Huntington Beach Today

I love being by the ocean. There is something magical about it. All it takes is one foot in the sand and all of your worries from the day seem to disappear. The ocean waves, the salty air, the breezes...there is nothing like it.

I took a short drive to walk along the beach in Huntington Beach yesterday as the sun was setting. As you know, I enjoy watching people so the evening did not disappoint.

There were surfers out trying to catch the perfect wave, a little girl playing in the sand, tourists wanting me to take their picture, people out with their cameras and everyone else stopping to seize the moment.

I stood there and soaked up each moment. It's hard to be miserable when you are surrounded by beauty. I suppose you could, but you would have to try really hard.

Long Beach Fog

I have been taking pictures of my hometown, Long Beach for a while and even though each night we have a beautiful sunset looking over the water, I like to take pictures that might be a little different. I went for a walk on Naples Island in Long Beach around 3pm and the fog rolled in unexpectedly, which I love. If I won the lottery, I wouldn't mind a little shack on this island with my own boat slip through the canals. Ah, it's nice to dream.

There is something about the fog that I love. It comes in when it wants to and doesn't let you see everything as clear as you would on a nice day. It sets the mood nicely for a photograph.
